Last Updated: 13/02/2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of transport services, including airport transfers, shuttles, and corporate logistics, provided by Romeo here in after referred to as Romeo within Maputo and the surrounding regions of Mozambique.

1. Booking and Service Execution

Reservations: Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email or message from the Company.

Flight Delays: We monitor flight statuses at Maputo International Airport (MPM). In the event of a delay, the pickup time will be adjusted free of charge, provided the flight number was correctly supplied at the time of booking.

Waiting Time:

  • The first 30 minutes of waiting time from the scheduled pickup (or actual flight landing time) are free of charge.
  • Thereafter, a waiting fee of 500 MZN per hour (or part thereof) will be applied.

2. Payment and Currencies

Payment Timing: While the Company generally accepts payment after the service is rendered, we reserve the right to request payment in advance for high-value bookings, long-distance logistics, or first-time corporate clients.

Accepted Currencies: We accept Metical (MZN), US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP), and South African Rand (ZAR).

Exchange Rates: For non-MZN payments, the exchange rate will be determined by the Company based on the prevailing market rate on the day of service.

Late Payments: For corporate accounts billed monthly, a late fee may apply if invoices are not settled within [e.g., 15 days] of issuance.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Since we allocate vehicles and drivers in advance, the following policy applies to prepaid bookings:

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup: 100% refund.
  • Cancellation 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 12 hours before pickup (or no-show): no refund.

Service Modification: Changes made within 12 hours of service are subject to vehicle availability and may incur an administrative fee.

4. Luggage and Vehicle Capacity

Declaration: Passengers must declare the number and size of luggage pieces at the time of booking.

Safety Limits: The Company reserves the right to refuse carriage of excess luggage if it compromises the safety of the vehicle or violates the Mozambican Road Traffic Code.

Fragiles: The Company is not liable for the breakage of fragile items; these remain the sole responsibility of the passenger.

5. Passenger Conduct and Safety

Zero Tolerance Policy: To ensure the safety of our drivers and the cleanliness of our fleet, smoking, the consumption of alcohol, and abusive behavior are strictly prohibited inside the vehicles.

Right to Terminate: The driver has the authority to refuse service or terminate a trip immediately if a passenger is disruptive or under the influence of illegal substances. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Child Safety: Child car seats are available as an optional extra and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. If a passenger chooses not to use a seat for a minor, they do so at their own legal risk.

6. Liability and Insurance

Basic Insurance: Our vehicles carry standard third-party insurance as required by Mozambican law.

Extended Liability: Enhanced Passenger Liability Insurance is not included by default but can be arranged as an "Extra" for corporate contracts upon request.

Third-Party Providers: To maintain service levels during peak periods, the Company may subcontract to vetted third-party partners. While we ensure high standards, the Company is not liable for indirect losses, missed meetings, or missed flights caused by unforeseen traffic, road closures, or mechanical failure beyond our reasonable control.

7. Dispute Resolution

Amicable Settlement: In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt a resolution through good-faith negotiations.

Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique. Any unresolved legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maputo City Court (Tribunal Judicial da Cidade de Maputo).
